A Poem for Easter Preschool

When my kids are at preschool, they have so much fun.

They laugh, splash and play out in the sun.

They make piles of wood chips and go down the slide

You can see their faces brighten and their eyes open wide.

They’ve learned to sit and listen about what will happen today.

And then a helper is chosen “Me! Me! Me!” they say.

There’s no sitting at a table, with a worksheet, memorizing…

Instead, they use blocks to build a tower that’s mesmerizing!

They’re building their brains, being creative and problem-solving

And as they grow up this will help to keep those brains evolving.

They read books, do puzzles, sing songs and make art

(Seeing their sweet creations is Mom’s favorite part!)

Then preschool is over, but I have a hunch

That everyone’s hoping they can stay for lunch bunch.

We see their little faces watching for Mom or Dad

And they come running out saying “Preschool was rad!”

Kindergarten is coming. It’s exciting, but tough

We love our preschool teachers; we can’t thank them enough!
